I’m Janelia Hernandez, an Afro-Latina voice actor and vocalist proudly representing my Dominican roots here in NYC. My story began on a stage without a microphone, discovering the thrill of storytelling and the power of projecting my voice. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to bring underrepresented stories to life and shine a light on the richness of Afro-Latina voices in media.I’ve had the privilege of learning from the Epic Theater Ensemble, diving into the world of stage acting, and embracing the joy of storytelling through performances like “Mackenzie” and “Underground Nation.” Off the mic, you’ll find me exploring new hobbies from singing and dancing (a nod to my Dominican roots) to museum-hopping, sewing, and, of course, coffee shop adventures.For me, voice acting is more than a craft! It’s a way to connect, to represent, and to inspire. My community, my culture, and the incredible support of my friends and family fuel my passion every day.
